On the afternoon of December 25, CQCMC invited the Entry-Exit Administration Detachment of the Chongqing High-Tech Zone Public Security Bureau to conduct in-person interviews for residence permits and deliver a legal education to 20 international students from the Class of 2025 in Room C212 of Minxue Building.

First, Officer Zou provided a detailed interpretation of relevant laws and regulations, including the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Administration of Entry and Exit, in light of the practical needs of international students’ academic and daily lives. She delivered a comprehensive presentation to the students, focusing on topics such as accommodation registration, prohibited activities for foreigners, applications for residence permits, service channels, fraud prevention, and issues related to religious beliefs. It was thorough, highly targeted and practical, effectively helping international students clarify their rights and obligations regarding residence in China and laying a solid legal foundation for them to smoothly begin their studies and daily life in the country.

Next was the in-person interview session for international students’ residence permits. In accordance with the instructions provided in advance, the students submitted their application materials in batches. Officer He and other staff members conducted face-to-face verification and confirmation of the information, patiently addressed the students’ questions, and provided professional, efficient, and courteous visa services.

Through these information sessions, CQCMC brought legal education and in-person visa application services directly to campus, effectively overcoming the challenges faced by new students who are unfamiliar with off-campus procedures upon arrival. It allowed international students to truly experience the convenience and warmth of the university’s support. The assistance provided by the Entry-Exit Administration Detachment of the Chongqing High-Tech Zone Public Security Bureau fully demonstrated the sense of responsibility and dedication of the police officers, serving as a vivid example of police-university collaboration in jointly fostering a favorable environment for foreign-related management and services.
